    Description

Disneyland "The Goofy Success Story" Goofy Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1955). Goofy, distraught over not winning an award for his film work, contemplates doing a "James Mason" walk into the surf (as in A Star Is Born), but stops when a delivery boy hands him a telegraph from the studio with a wonderful opportunity. That's the scenario for this original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of the Goof from the December 7, 1955 episode of Disneyland, "The Goofy Success Story." The full-figure cel of Goofy, with an amazing 9" image size, is nicely paired with an original hand-inked, hand-painted 5" "Ale" sign from another production. This is one of the most striking Goofy production cels we have seen. Finding untrimmed cels from early Disneyland animation is always tough! This three-cel setup has slight tape along the bottom border, otherwise Fine condition.
