Description
Disney's Jungle Cubs Mowgli, Colonel Hatri, and Baloo Production Cel Setup and Master Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1996). Superb original production cel setup from Disney's 1996 "prequel" to Jungle Book, Jungle Cubs, which follows the animal characters before they meet Mowgli; the series debuted on 10/5/96. Colonel Hatri the elephant holds Mowgli with his trunk as Baloo the bear offers his paws; image sizes are 6", 1.5", and 3.5". The foliage in front of the characters is a painted cel overlay. The setup is placed on a hand-painted production background, stamped Show 200 Scene 59 -- the "Born to be Wild" episode. The cel setup and background art are matted with an opening size of 12" x 9.5", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 20.5" x 18". A Disney COA is attached to the back of the frame.
