City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold Opening Title Production Cel Sequence of 3 Signed by Bob Kurtz (Kurtz & Friends, 1994). Watch out - this gunslinger has a few things to learn! Kurtz & Friends included a variety of hilarious scenes in the opening sequences for both City Slickers and City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold but this is definitely one of the best. The stylized sequence of three hand-painted production cels show the cowboy character's gun going off in his pants, leaving him smoking with holes in the floor. Ranging from about 6.75'' x 5.75'' to 7..25'' x 5.5'' in size, the sequence of cels starts at roughly 1:15 in the title sequence after the cowboy sheaths his weapons with great expressions on each full figure character. The most stylized cel in black and white has been signed by the director of the sequence and founder of Kurtz & Friends studio Bob Kurtz. Kurtz not only directed both sequences for the City Slickers films, but also each sequence the studio created for films and commercials. Each cel is numbered in the lower right and displayed on a solid color card for presentation purposes. Very Good condition with faint edge and handling wear and light debris.Auction Info
