Description

Cinderella RARE One-of-a-Kind Key Master Setup; Cinderella Production Cel and Key Master Background Signed by Walt Disney (Walt Disney, 1950). "Your Majesty, I believe I see her." For distinguished collectors, we present an exquisite one-of-a-kind Key Master setup from Cinderella, paired in a double-aperture frame with an authentic Walt Disney signature. The hand-inked, hand-painted production cel presents an 8" trimmed-to-image portrait of the "scullery maid turned princess" at the royal ball-graceful, luminous, and scene-matched to its original hand-painted Key Master background. We see this image at the 52:00 mark when the Grand Duke announces the royal fanfare as the guests make way for her dramatic entrance. The music swells, and the camera follows Cinderella descending the grand staircase in her shimmering ball gown. This sequence leads directly into her first dance with Prince Charming-one of the film's most iconic scenes. Executed in gouache by Disney's elite background team-Dick Anthony, Merle Cox, Ray Huffine, Ralph Hulett, Brice Mack, Art Riley, and Thelma Witmer-the setting shimmers with palace light and rich mid-century color design. The setup itself measures 12" x 10.5" and is framed to 23" x 26", accompanied by a 7.5" x 3" autograph slip boldly signed by Walt Disney. Walt's signature, among the most recognizable in the world, became both personal hallmark and company emblem. As his public profile rose in the television era, "Walt Disney" autographs grew rarer in casual settings; family recollections note his pride in the flourish-often beginning the motion of his pen before it touched paper. Here, the legendary signature amplifies the historical gravitas of a true Key Master: cel and scene-matched background united exactly as photographed for the film. A crown-jewel display for serious Disney collectors-romance, provenance, and studio craft at their peak. The lot condition is Very Good with minimal wear. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
