Description

Cinderella Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1950). Here is an outstanding vintage production cel featuring Cinderella, the titular heroine of Walt Disney's 1950 animated classic. Hand-inked and hand-painted on acetate, the character image has been trimmed to approximately 7" x 4" and is presented in a 12.5" x 15" frame. This remarkable cel was exhibited in 1992 as part of the Once Upon a Time Exhibition at the National Gallery of Scotland, underscoring its cultural significance. The image captures Cinderella in her work dress during the sequence when the royal invitation to the Prince's Ball is delivered (around the 28:05 timestamp). Cinderella, Disney's 12th animated feature, tells the story of a kind young woman forced into servitude by her stepmother, Lady Tremaine, and stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella. With help from her mouse friends and the Fairy Godmother, she attends the royal ball, where fate-and a glass slipper-change her life. As the second official Disney Princess, Cinderella remains a cornerstone of Disney animation and a favorite among collectors. A beautiful, screen-used artifact with classic, clean linework and warm palette, this cel displays wonderfully. In Very Good condition. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
