Cinderella Production Cel Setup on Master Background (Walt Disney, 1950). "The waltz, quick the waltz!" says the King as Cinderella walks into the castle. Co-directed by Clyde Geronimi, Ham Luske, and Wilfred Jackson, Cinderella was released to critical acclaim. It's one of the last films to involve the talents of all of Walt's "Nine Old Men." This is a rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel and Master background setup from the "This is Love" dance segment, when Cinderella meets the Prince. The cels have been trimmed to 10" x 10" and feature full-figure characters measuring 6" and 7" tall. The 10" x 13" background is painted in gouache on light board and is stamped "Property of Walt Disney Studios" on the back. With the Courvoisier Disney Art Program ending a few years earlier, setups from this film are very rare. It is absolutely one of the single nicest Cinderella cel and background setups we have ever offered. The art shows minor handling and condition is Very Good.
