    Chevron "Staying in Shape" Commercial Production Cel Setup (Kurtz and Friends, 1977). Chevron gas stations have long been known for their clever animated commercials. Many were created by Bob Kurtz's Kurtz and Friends studio, including this 1977 campaign, "Staying in Shape," which was designed by Robert Peluce. Here's a great hand-inked, hand-painted 5-cel (including painted cel backgrounds) setup of a jogging humanized car, watched by another somewhat flabby auto. This 12 field setup features a combined image size of 7.5" x 3.5" for the two cars. Top cel is hand-signed by animation director Bob Kurtz. Tack holes in the top corners; Very Good overall condition.
