Description

Charlotte's Web Wilbur and Templeton Production Cel Pair (Hanna-Barbera, 1973). "What a night. Never have I seen such leavings. Everything well-ripened, seasoned with the passage of time and the heat of the day." Wilbur watches as an utterly engorged Templeton drags himself back inside the county fair pen in this wonderful hand-painted original production cel pair from the 1973 Hanna-Barbera animated musical classic Charlotte's Web. The film featured music by the Sherman Brothers, known for Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book, and was the first of only four Hanna-Barbera films not to be based upon one of their famous television cartoons. Templeton can be spotted popping out of a pile of hay near the 1:06:38 mark, ready to eat everything the fair trashcans have to offer but Charlotte warns him to wait for nightfall. The following morning Wilbur can be spotted near the 1:15:06 mark, watching as Templeton returns from his overnight fair food "schmorgasboard-orgasboard" bonanza. Wilbur measures 5.75" x 4.75" and is featured full-figured save for his curly tail, while Templeton measures 2.75" x 3" and is featured half-figured with some hay detailing near his waist. The 12 field cels show minor handling and edge wear with reattachment of the pegholes with tape, some fading in the linework, and light surface scuffing/debris. The condition overall is Good.
