Charlotte's Web Uncle Homer, Wilbur, and Crowd Production Cel Setup with Speed Buggy Production Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1973). "In the words of the spider's web, this is 'some pig!'" Seen at the 1:17:52 mark of the film, this is a marvelous hand-painted original production cel setup from Hanna-Barbera's heartwarming feature film Charlotte's Web. A great image from the final scenes of the film, this setup features Wilbur, Uncle Homer, an adoring crowd, and the spider Charlotte's eponymous web reading "humble." This piece is composed of an elaborate six cels displayed on an original production background from the Hanna-Barbera series Speed Buggy. Rendered in gouache on board, the background is featured in the episode "The Ringmaster," first aired on 11/17/1973. Backgrounds of the episode are credited to Robert Caples, Dennis Durrell, Venetia Epler, Fernando Montealegre, and Eric Semones. The 12 field setup shows minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
