Description

CatDog "Fetch" CatDog Production Cel (Nickelodeon, 1998). "So come on! Throw the ball!" Cat just wants to listen for his name in a radio contest, but Dog really wants to play in this original production cel from the theatrically released short "Fetch" of their eponymous Nicktoon series CatDog. With a debut preceding the November 1998 Nickelodeon film, The Rugrats Movie, this feature aired in its first broadcast episode about three months later on February 15, 1999, as the atypical third segment of Season Two's first episode. This short saw Winslow wreaking havoc on Cat's plans (as usual) by throwing Dog's tennis ball clear across town, and all the while Cat just wants to use the phone to collect his radio prize winnings. Occurring early in the plot before Winslow launches the ball, this frame can be spotted near the 18:33 mark of the full broadcast episode when viewed online. Featured full-figured CatDog has a frame-filling character size of 9.75" x 5.25" on the hand-painted cel which bears production codes along the lower edge. The 12 field cel has had its pegholes trimmed and is placed on a print background for display purposes to which the paint has adhered. The piece has been matted to an overall size of 17" x 14" with an aperture of 12" x 9"; mat sold as-is. With typical handling and edge wear including the noted paint adhesion, overall this feline-canine is in Very Good condition.
