Description

Castle in the Sky Sheeta Production Cel Setup (Studio Ghibli, 1986). "Tell me the spell! What are the secret words!" Colonel Muska demands Sheeta to reveal the magical verse that triggers the power of her mysterious amulet. This spectacular and elaborate hand-painted original production cel setup can be seen at the 53:41 mark of the first film officially produced by Studio Ghibli, Castle in the Sky. A beloved classic directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki, Castle in the Sky is considered an influential work in the popular steampunk and dieselpunk retrofuturist subgenres. Featuring remarkable effects work used to create glow in the final shot, this 4-cel setup depicts Sheeta in an image that nearly fills the 14" x 9" cels. The piece shows taping in corners and pegholes, but otherwise it shows normal handling and edge wear from use in production. The condition is Very Good.
