Description

Castle in the Sky Pazu Production Cel (Studio Ghibli, 1986). "Sheeta, I'm coming!" Pazu swings from the roots beneath the floating island of Laputa in search of his captured friend in this original production cel from Studio Ghibli's first film, Castle in the Sky. Produced by Isao Takahata (1935 - 2018) with story and direction by Hayao Miyazaki, these co-founders of Ghibli gave the studio a memorable debut packed with adventure and discovery. This dramatic scene can be spotted during the film's climax near the 1:46:14 mark as Pazu desperately searches for Sheeta after her capture at the hands of the villainous Colonel Muska. Pazu's full-figured image has been hand-painted to a remarkable 4.5" x 7.75" on the 13.75" x 9" cel which is displayed on a high quality scene-matched printed background for presentation purposes. The cel is numbered B-13 in the upper right corner. With minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use including slight fading of the linework with some professional restoration, overall this dynamic cel is in Very Good condition.
