Casper, The Friendly Ghost Production Cel on Production Background (Famous Studios, c. 1950s/'60s). Originally created for an unsold children's book concept, Casper first came to the big screen in 1945. Famous Studios went on to produce theatrical cartoons of Casper the Friendly Ghost under their "Modern Madcap" and "Noveltoons" banners. He eventually got his own television show in 1963 called The New Casper Cartoon Show and it featured a combination of new and old cartoons. This is an original production cel setup of Casper with the Ghostly Trio. All are hand-inked in blue, on a 12 field cel over hand-painted production background of a graveyard from an unknown cartoon. This great setup is in a 14" x 17" mat with an 11" x 8" opening. The piece shows minor handling wear; otherwise condition is Very Good.
