Buford and the Galloping Ghost Production Background Group (Hanna-Barbera, 1979). After being introduced on Yogi's Space Race, this show premiered on NBC in 1979. It starred two different characters in separate segments: Buford the Bloodhound in one, and The Galloping Ghost, an old West ghost prospector who haunts a dude ranch, in another. This lot includes three hand-painted production backgrounds from this series. This first one is a great background of the Fenokee Theater showcasing the last performance of The Great Zambini. This is Episode 10 which aired on April 7, 1979 ("The Magical Whammy/Mr. Sunshine's Eclipse"), The second 12-field production background is a detailed cabin on a swamp. This was probably from one of the many swamp-themed episodes (i.e. "Swamp Hermit," "Swamp Saucer," "The Haunting of Swamp Manor"). The third Hanna-Barbera hand-painted production background is a messy fruit stand. All are 12-field gouache production backgrounds. All framed and in Fine Condition. Frame openings are approximately 12" x 9".
