    Description

Buckaroo Bugs/Jack Wabbit and the Beanstalk Bugs Bunny Production Cel on Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1945/1943). Bugs slices up a carrot after tripping the horse of Red Hot Ryder in the 1945 short Buckaroo Bugs directed by Bob Clampett. This was one of the few times that Bugs was the unprovoked aggressor in a cartoon. Here is a hand-inked, hand-painted full-figure image of Bugs who measures 3" x 3.5" on a 12 field production cel. The cel is presented over an original hand-painted production background from the 1943 Friz Freleng-directed short Jack Wabbit and the Beanstalk. The beautifully rendered background is painted in gouache on 12" x 10" trimmed background board. Though the two pieces are from different cartoons, they work wonderfully together. This setup is comprised of Leon Schlesinger Studio era production pieces and Warner Brothers collectors know that art from that time and of this quality is as rare as it gets. Both items display light handling and condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
