Description
Beany and Cecil "Super-Cecil" Production Cel (Bob Clampett, 1962). From Bob Clampett's cult classic animated series Beany and Cecil, this is a marvelous hand-inked and hand-painted original production cel from the second episode's segment "Super-Cecil." Beany and Cecil was based on Bob Clampett's own TV puppet show Time for Beany in 1949. Although a children's show, this hilarious short-lived series appealed to a wide adult audience with its satirical nods to current events and personalities of the time. A rare image of Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent in his superhero outfit from the segment, this stellar piece is framed under glass with a mat window size of 8.75" x 6.75" and an overall frame size of 15" x 13".
