Description
Beany and Cecil Production Cel Setup (Robert Clampett, 1962). "A Bob Clampett cartooooon!" sings Cecil in the opening title song for this cult favorite series. After Bob Clampett left Warner Brothers, he became a star with his puppet show Time for Beany. Daws Butler and Stan Freberg provided voices for the characters. A Prime Time animated series on ABC debuted on 1/6/62. This is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted production cel setup of Beany with Dishonest John and Cecil the Sea Sick Serpent on the way to rescue Beany. This two-cel set up is on a print background for presentation purposes. The cel setup has a Bob Clampett Studio seal. Production artwork of this quality from this series is very rare! This is a great three-character production cel setup in a frame of 17" x 15" with a mat opening of 12" x 9". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork condition is Very Good.Auction Info
