Baton Bunny Bugs Bunny Production Cel on Key Master Production Background. (Warner Brothers, 1959). As if choosing a pool cue from the rack, Bugs chooses just the right Baton before conducting the Warner Brothers orchestra at the Hollywood bowl. In this brilliant cartoon directed by the legendary director Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002), Bugs (while swatting at a fly) inadvertently conducts the overture to "Ein Morgen, ein Mittag und Abend in Wien" (A Morning, Noon, and Night in Vienna) by Franz Von Suppe'. This is an original hand-inked hand-painted production cel of Bugs who measures nearly 7" tall on a 12 field cel. The cel is over a matching hand-painted Key Master production background painted in gouache on 3-peghole background board. Warner Brothers studio artwork from this era was routinely thrown away making this setup incredibly rare. Combined with its connection to Chuck Jones, this piece is easily the potential centerpiece of any serious Warner Brothers collection. The art is framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 8.5" x 7" in an 18" x 15" frame. Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
