    Description

Baseball Bugs Bugs Bunny and Gas House Gorilla Production Cels Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1946). Bugs Bunny takes the mound in New York City's Polo Grounds in this true Warner Brothers classic directed by Friz Freleng. Here is a pair of original hand-inked, hand-painted production cels from the short that introduced the world to screaming baseballs and pitches so slow that they can strike out three batters at once. The first is a magnificent 7" tall full-figure image of Bugs on a 12 field cel atop the pitcher's mound. Accompanying it is a full-figure cel of the opposing pitcher for the Gas House Gorillas, who stands 6" tall. The two pieces were literally made for each other and are certainly the most impressive production cels we have ever offered or seen from this classic short. Bugs has a small crack in the red paint on his hat and sleeve. The Gorilla has small hair-line cracks in the grey paint of his shirt. This cel is sealed in a mat under Plexiglass with a mat opening of 9" x 7" and an overall measurement of 13" x 10". Condition on the lot is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
