Description
Bambi Rabbits and Bambi Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1942). "Bird!" Thumper and his siblings try to teach Bambi about each new sight and sound, though Bambi doesn't fully understand their lesson in the production cel Courvoisier setup in this lot. These setups were created through a deal between Walt Disney and Guthrie Courvoisier to sell original Disney cels and production artwork through Courvoisier's galleries. Each full figure hand-painted and hand-inked character in the setup has been meticulously trimmed to figure and attached to a custom Courvoisier background with a grass overlay cel used to complete the beautiful image. Bambi appears at about 13:54 in one of the more endearing moments in the film as he calls the butterfly on his tail a bird. The rabbits are two of Thumper's siblings and were created for around 10:51 while they watch the young prince try to climb over a fallen tree blocking his path. They take up roughly the size of the 6.75'' x 5'' mat window and the original Courvoisier mat with the film name and WDP stamp is included on the back of the 17'' x 15'' glass-fronted frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. If you're looking to forever remember Bambi's first time playing in the woods, this lot is for you!
