Animaniacs Yakko, Wakko and Dot Production Cel
Setup with Key Master Background (Warner Brothers, c. 1993-98).
Presented is a spectacular hand-painted original production cel
setup from the hit classic Saturday morning cartoon
Animaniacs, taped to its original Key Master background.
Animaniacs set a high bar for Saturday morning cartoons with
its relentless quick wit, satirical social commentary, pop culture
references and innuendo aimed at adult audiences. It brought an
unprecedented intelligence to the traditional slapstick humor of
the classic cartoons it modeled itself after. An exceptional find,
this piece features the flagship characters Yakko, Wakko and Dot
Warner in full figure and centered on the 12 field cels, and the
background is rendered stunningly in gouache on background board.
The door behind the Warner siblings is rendered on the second cel.
This amazing piece bears a Warner Brothers seal and Certificate of
Authenticity, and it shows minor handling and edge wear from normal
studio use. The condition of this 12 field Key Master setup is Very
Good.
