DescriptionAlice in Wonderland Door Mouse Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1951). The sleepy little Door Mouse springs from his tea kettle every time anyone mentions a cat in this Classic Disney feature based on the work of Lewis Carroll. This is an original hand-inked hand-painted production cel of the Door Mouse doing just that in the courtroom scene at the 50:29 mark as Alice points out that the Cheshire Cat is sitting on the Queen's crown. It's an extraordinary image of the mouse and the kettle lid who together measure 2.5" x 3.5" on a trimmed cel. The cel is over a print background for presentation purposes. This is a wonderful and rare character who only appears twice in this film and very briefly. The piece is framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 4.5" x 6" in an 11" x 12.5" frame. Condition is Very Good and frame is sold as-is.
