Alice in Wonderland Cheshire Cat Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1951). "Why, you're a cat!" says Alice. He replies, "A Cheshire Cat!" This is the initial dialogue when Alice stumbles upon the Cheshire Cat as she is walking through the Tulgey Wood. This scene-stealing character was animated by Ward Kimball and voiced by Sterling Holloway. This is a rare 16 field hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of the Cheshire Cat, from his first meeting with Alice. This amazing full-figure image is almost 9" with his tail so high. The cel is on a Xerox image on cel of the layout drawing of his tree, where he sits as he speaks to Alice. Wonderful setup! The number 93 is written in the bottom corner of this fabulous 16 field cel, one of the single best of this character we have seen. Minor handling wear. In Very Good condition.
