Description

Alice in Wonderland Alice with Cake Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1951). "Now blow the candle out, my dear, and make your wish come true..." If you wished for an outstanding hand-painted and hand-inked production cel of the titular protagonist of Alice in Wonderland, this lot is about to make that wish come true! The lovely Alice blows the candle of her very merry unbirthday in this stupendous cel, seen at the 44:29 mark of Disney's classic animated feature film. Hilarious and whimsical, the famous "Unbirthday Song" had its lyrics and composition by Mack David, Jerry Livingston, and Al Hoffman. Alice holding the delicious-looking cake features a fantastic image size of 5" x 6.75" and is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. The cel has been trimmed to image and mounted on a clear cel. Some paint cracks can be seen on the lower area of Alice's dress. In Good to Very Good condition with light handling and edge wear from production.
