Description
Alice in Wonderland Alice Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1951). The titular protagonist from Disney's 1951 Alice in Wonderland is in the spotlight with this stupendous hand-painted and hand-inked production cel of Alice in full figure. Based on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll, this animated feature film was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Hamilton Luske, and Wilfred Jackson. Numbered 147 in the bottom right corner, this 12-field cel shows a not-so-impressed Alice with her arms crossed as she appears at the 35:30 mark of the movie, measuring an impressive figure size of 3" x 5.25". The cel is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. Ink stains can be seen on the left area of the bottom edge. The cel shows pinholes in the top corners and small traces of paint residue as well as light tape residue next to Alice, not affecting the art. With overall minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.From the Ken O’Connor Archive.
