Akira Tetsuo Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Tokyo Movie Shinsha, 1988). The deranged Tetsuo uses his newly developed psychic powers in this astounding hand-painted production cel, used in the iconic anime film Akira. Greatly capturing Tetsuo's aggressive look, angered as he demands to know where Akira is. The 14" x 9" two-layer cel shows Tetsuo in his hospital clothes with the smoke and debris behind him, seen at approximately the 1:02:31 timestamp, measuring an overall image size of 13.25" x 7.75", shown on a printed background for presentation purposes and taped to it with archival artist tape. Included is Tetsuo's matching animation drawing, done in graphite and colored pencils. Some fading can be seen on the linework. Both layers have adhered together. Mild paint residue can be seen on the drawing. In overall Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
