Description
Æon Flux Production Cel with Key Master Background (MTV Animation, c. 1991-95). The eponymous secret agent of the society of Monica, Æon Flux, is featured here in this fantastic hand-painted original production cel setup, presented on its original Key Master background rendered in gouache. Æon Flux has been widely acclaimed since its release for its uniqueness compared to most animation seen in the United States. A surreal dystopian fiction with postmodern storytelling and psychological themes, Æon Flux was a bizarre and avant-garde sci fi series with little comparison. This fantastic piece measures an overall 14" x 10.25", and the background bears the notation BG1-25. Æon's cel bears the numbers 25 and A14 in the lower right corner, and setup as a whole shows minor handling and edge wear with some taping in the corners and a small tear in one of the pegholes.
