Description
Æon Flux "Pilot" Production Cel Signed by Peter Chung with Key Master Background (MTV Animation, 1991). The leather-clad spy, Æon Flux, sneaks into the Breen base to gain intel about her target in this phenomenal hand-painted production cel, accompanied by the Key Master background featured during the scene of the pilot episode of Æon Flux. Hand-painted on the three-layer production cel, Æon measures 5" x 6", which can be seen at the 8:19 mark of the pilot episode, approaching the 3.25" x 3.75" window to continue her mission. The Key Master background measures 9.5" x 14" and is delineated by the cel, creating a wonderful Ligne Claire effect akin to European comics. The top layer of the cel presents Peter Chung's signature near the bottom right corner of the window. The Key Master background shows some toned tape, and the layers of the cel have slightly adhered together, displaying minor surface scuffing that doesn't affect the art. Overall, the lot is in Very Good condition, with very light handling wear from production.From the Peter Chung/Æon Flux Archives.
