Æon Flux CD-Rom Commercial Æon Flux Production Cel Sequence of 4 with 21" Pan Cel-Painted Background (MTV Animation, 1996). The titular character of the cult-classic series Æon Flux makes a spectacular entrance with the four hand-painted production cels offered in this lot, signed by creator and director Peter Chung. These dynamic images were created to be featured at the 0:16 timestamp of the impressive commercial for the never-finished video game based on the series, produced in collaboration with the renowned studio Madhouse. Exhibiting Aeon's stupendous agility, these 12-field cels show the armed character in her iconic leather suit, measuring image sizes ranging from 5.25" x 5" to 3.5" x 4.5" and prominently showing Peter Chung's signature in their bottom right areas. Adding a terrific kinetic effect to the sequence, these cels are displayed on a background with movement lines measuring roughly 10.75" x 21". The cels are taped to the background with archival artist tape. Some fading can be seen on the linework.
