Acrobatty Bunny Bugs Bunny Production Cel with Nero the Lion Presentation Cel with Painted Background (Warner Brothers,1946). "We're also available for picnics, lodge meetings, children's parties... and smokers" says Hula Bugs at the end of the short Acrobatty Bunny. The piece shows Bugs Bunny and his Hula Lion from the short subject directed by Robert McKimson and written by Warren Foster. The short was released on 6/29/46. The circus comes to town, and the lion's cage is placed directly over Bugs Bunny's rabbit hole and his home. Hilarious circus hijinks ensue with "Nero the Lion" which is perfectly captured in this outstanding setup. This hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Bugs can be found at the 7:27 mark near the end of the short. The Bugs cel is paired with a custom hand-painted presentation cel of Nero, and a hand-painted background added for presentation purposes. The background painting closely matches the original background seen in the film. This is very rare artwork as Bugs Bunny cels from the 1940s are highly coveted and hard to find. The piece is in a 20.75" x 18" frame with a mat opening of 12" x 9". A Linda Jones Enterprises COA comes with the artwork. Frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
