A Message to Gracias Sylvester Production Cel Setup (Warner Brothers, 1964). "Hello pussycat!" "You mean goodbye, smart mouth!" says Sylvester from a boat, as he raises his shotgun to shoot poor Speedy Gonzales. As his boat speeds on, his head hits an overhanging tree branch; he shoots the boat and sinks it, and is almost eaten by a gang of alligators. You can see this scene at the 4:09 mark into the short. This is a superb, original, hand-painted 2-cel setup of Sylvester in the boat with a fresh bump on his head from the tree branch hit. It's an amazing image of 11" with the water effects and boat. This is from the Robert McKimson-directed short, co-directed with Tom Bonnicksen, that was released on 2/8/64. It starred Sylvester the Cat and Speedy Gonzales. Matted with an opening size of 12" x 10", and an overall mat size of 18" x 16". The 12 field cel has some paint separation in white areas of the boat; otherwise, Fine. VERY rare!
