Description

Peter Pan Studio-Used Storyboard Print Group of 4 (Walt Disney, 1953). "Give it to 'im Capm! Cleave 'im to the brisket!" Mr. Smee's comical line emphasizes the tone of Hook and Pan's cavern duel, which is presented in full as a series of 4 studio-used storyboard prints from the production of Disney's 1953 classic retelling of Peter Pan. Printed in-house at less than half the scale of the immense wall-mounted bulletin boards utilized in the Story Department, these reference prints remain surprisingly large with overall sizes of approximately 40" x 20.5" (three sheets) and 39.5" x 10" (one sheet) allowing the stunning detail of the storyboard panels to shine though. Although the scene and sequence numbers are not present, each board is numbered including 351-8063 (two copies), 351-8064, and 351-8065 (the smaller sheet) with the full set featuring complete storyboard panels for the scenes where Peter introduces Wendy to the mermaids beginning near the 36:31 timestamp through Peter's rescue of Tiger Lily where he leaves Hook to flee Tick-Tock the Crocodile near the 45:48 timestamp. All four sheets also feature a Disney studio stamp on the reverse. With typical handling and edge wear including age-related toning, fold creases, pinholes, surface wrinkles with minor edge tearing, light surface wear/debris, and trimming to one of the 351-8063 prints, overall this cohesive collection is in Fair to Good condition.
