Carl Barks A Lithographic Suite of Preliminary Paintings Sold-Out Limited Edition Portfolio #97/500 (Another Rainbow/Walt Disney, 1989). A treasure trove for Disney fans, this collector's suite features ten vibrant prints capturing Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, and the nephews in the thick of their globe-trotting, treasure-hunting adventures. Each piece is a glimpse into the creative process -- preliminary concept and idea sketches brought to life in mixed media by Disney legend Carl Barks. The prints include: "Among His Souvenirs" (image size 8" x 10"); "Money Lake" (8.75" x 7"); "In Uncle Walt's Collectery" (9" x 9"); "Trail of the Forty Thieves" (10" x 12.5"); "Sheriff of Bullet Valley" (8.75" x 11"); "Stamp Collectors' Bad Moment" (9.75" x 12"); "First National Bank of Cibola" (10.5" x 13"); "Trespassers Will Be Ventilated" (12" x 9.625"); "The Makings of a Fish Story" (10.5" x 13.375"); and "Return to Plain Awful" (14.75" x 11.75"). The ten lithographs in this suite are numbered 97/500 and are initialed by Carl Barks (1901 - 2000); a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mr. Barks is also included. The artwork comes in a specially crafted envelope and a history of the edition document. The condition is Very Good to Fine with light handling.More information about Carl Barks.
