Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Oversized Publicity Cel with Key Master Background (Touchstone/Amblin, 1988). "PPPPPPlease Benny, get us outta here!" This is one of the rarest pieces of artwork from this ground-breaking film we have come across. It's a one-of-a-kind massive hand-painted publicity cel of Roger Rabbit riding in Benny the Cab, trying to get away from a car full of Doctor Doom's weasels, right behind him. This oversized hand-painted publicity cel is on its Key Master background of Toontown. The background was hand-painted for this setup from the hand of the late, great Ron Dias (1937-2013). Mr. Dias created concept artwork of Toontown for this film. The cel was used for publicity purposes before the film was released, in press kits, as well as newspaper and magazine articles. Roger and Benny the Cab are 18.5". The cel images are huge and the Toontown background with cartoon eyes peeking out of certain windows is very "eye-catching". Matted with an opening of 24" x 16", and framed with glass for an overall size of 30" x 22". Frame is sold as-is. Cel and background are in Fine condition.
