What's Opera, Doc Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd One of One Cel (Warner Brothers, c. 2000s). "What's Up Doc- The Animation Art of Chuck Jones" exhibit put on by The Chuck Jones Center of Creativity and the Smithsonian Traveling exhibitions has been traveling since 2014 and slated to run until 2019. Artwork had to be created for the exhibit as very little early Warner Brothers production art exists today. This is a rare hand-painted one of one presentation cel made for exhibit of Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd created from original artwork used in the making of the 1957 theatrical short What's Opera, Doc. You can see this exact image in the film around the 5:23 mark when Bugs' wig falls off. This short was voted #1 in Jerry Beck's book The 50 Greatest Cartoons. This short was entered into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in 1992. Bugs and Elmer measure 6" and 8" on a cel over a print background. A Chuck Jones Estate print signature is on the cel and Linda Jones Letter of Authenticity is included in the lot. Condition is Very Good. From the Chuck Jones Archives.
