    Description

    The Three Caballeros José Carioca Publicity Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1945). This cel features one third of "The Three Happy Chappys!" José Carioca made his big screen splash in 1942's Saludos Amigos. He was an instant star. He came back even bigger in this second South American-themed feature film. José Carioca would go on to star again in the 1948 Disney animated feature film Melody Time. This is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted Courvoisier publicity cel of José Carioca. This may be the single best cel of this character we have ever seen, with a great large image of 5". He has his signature hat, umbrella and cigar! What a pose! The cel is on an airbrushed background, and is in its original Courvoisier cream-colored mat measuring 12" x 15" with a mat opening of 7.5" x 7". Very Good condition.
