The Ruff and Reddy Show Publicity Cel and Painted Background Signed by Joe Barbera (Hanna-Barbera, 1989). In 1957, Hanna-Barbera Studios was launched with its first series for NBC, The Ruff and Reddy Show. It boasted the voice talents of Daws Butler and Don Messick. This is a published original hand-painted cel from the Hanna-Barbera Publicity department that was created for the 1989 book The Art of Hanna-Barbera by Ted Sennett. This image can be seen on page 51. The book was issued to celebrate the 50-year partnership of Hanna-Barbera, and had a television special produced to go along with the release of the book. The hand-painted 12 field publicity cel is signed by legendary animator Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006) and paired with a hand-painted presentation background. Matted to 11" x 14" with an aperture of 7.5" x 9.5". One of the best pure Ruff and Reddy cels we have ever seen! In Very Good condition.
