    Description

The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show Bullwinkle and Rocky Signed Scene Cel (Jay Ward, 1988). "A thunder of jets in an open sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful... Hi!" This was the opening narrative of Rocky and Friends back in 1959. With few actual production cels existing from this show, scene cels were made and sold at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium on Sunset Blvd., in West Hollywood. These cels were hand-inked and hand-painted by former Disney Ink and Paint lady, Helen Hanson. This is a rarely-seen image of Bullwinkle assisting Rocky the Flying Squirrel into flight. While most cels of Bullwinkle sold at the Emporium featured orange Bullwinkles, this is one of the few made with him in his original brown color, making it very rare. Originally sold unsigned, this bears signatures of longtime directors Bill Hurtz and Gerard Baldwin, along with studio head, Jay Ward, making it even rarer still. It is in a mat measuring 16" x 20", with an opening of 10" x 12". Condition is Fine.
