    Description

The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show Publicity/Production Cels Group of 5 (Ruby-Spears, 1979). The stretchable character known as Plastic Man has a long history, beginning with comic books published by Quality Comics in 1941. In the mid-1960s, he moved to DC comics for a short-lived run. In 1979, he was brought to TV by Ruby-Spears. Here is a very cool set of four hand-painted 12 field cels of Plas walking with his neck stuck way out (image size 7" x 7"); a nice heroic pose (8.5" tall); a standing pose by Baby Plas (also 8.5" tall, signed by Jerry Eisenberg); and a shot of Plastic Man as a giant paper plane, with Penny and Hula-Hula riding along (10.75" x 3"). Adding to the fun is an actual production cel of Plas as a human trampoline; image size is approximately 9" x 7", and the 3-peghole cel is noted as Sc. 8 in the lower right. This piece also includes its matching animation drawing (mostly a print with added graphite shading). Condition ranges from Very Good to Fine.
