The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show Publicity Cels Group of 6 (Ruby-Spears, 1979). The stretchable character known as Plastic Man has a long history, beginning with comic books published by Quality Comics in 1941. In the mid-1960s, he moved to DC comics for a short-lived run. In 1979, he was brought to TV by Ruby-Spears. Here's a rare set of five hand-painted 12 field (with no pegholes) publicity cels from the show. We have a cel featuring Plas bending his lower body into a spring (figure size 7.5); using a stretched-out arm like a lasso (full image size 11.5" x 9.5"); extending his legs while running (full image 11.5" x 4"); becoming a human bowling ball (figure size 7"); flying as a giant "paper airplane, with Penny and Hula-Hula riding along (full image 10.75" x 3"); and finally, a full-figure image of Baby Plas (figure size 8.5"). The last two cels were hand-signed by producer Jerry Eisenberg; these are all from his personal files. The Baby Plas cel has some damage on front of the cel from contact with another cel; it's in Good condition. All others are in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.
