The Marvel Super Heroes Publicity Cels Group of 5 (Grantray-Lawrence, 1966). "The Marvel Super Heroes have arrived!" goes the opening theme song to this FIRST animated Marvel Super Hero cartoon series. This show used actual comic book story lines and artwork from Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and Don Heck. The series featured 65 half-hour shows that featured Iron Man, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, and the Sub Mariner. It premiered on 9/1/66. This is a historic lot of rare original Grantray-Lawrence Studio publicity cels of Iron Man (mislabeled, in a Thor mat), Captain America, Thor (mislabeled, in an Iron Man mat), the Sub Mariner, and a rare hand-painted production cel of Hulk on a hand-painted presentation background. The studio model/publicity cels are in original studio mats measuring 13" x 10". Cels are all full-figure images, with sizes of 5" - 6". This is a rare collection of cels featuring all the main characters on this historic very first animated Marvel Super Hero series! Minor handling wear.
