Description
The Lion King Mufasa and Simba Publicity Cel with Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1994). "Look Simba. Everything the light touches is our kingdom." King Mufasa and Simba overlook the Prideland in this stunning publicity cel from Disney's 32nd animated feature. The Lion King was the highest grossing film of 1994 and and the best selling home video. It spawned a television series, video game and a hit Broadway play. Offered here is an original hand-painted publicity cel of both Lion Kings together. The full-figure images together measure 5" x 7" on a pan cel over a hand-painted Key Master background. It's a magnificent setup and the exquisitely detailed background even shows the elephant grave yard off in the distance. The piece was likely made for promotional art or consumer product packaging. No cels were used in the making of this film, so this one-of-a-kind piece is as close to a Key Master setup as one could hope for from this movie. The art is in a 27" x 13.5" frame under glass with a mat opening of 23" x 9.5". Minor handling and condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
