The Flintstones/Hoyt Curtain Signed Publicity Cel and Production Background (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1980s). Hoyt Curtain (1922 - 2000) was a major reason for the success of Hanna-Barbera. He was the Musical Director of H-B from 1958 through his retirement in 1986. He is responsible for music for The Flintstones, Jetsons, Jonny Quest, Top Cat, Smurfs, and Scooby-Doo. It's some of the most recognizable music on the planet. In order to pay homage to Mr. Curtain and his work with the music for The Flintstones ("They're a modern stone age family"), this special hand-painted 12 field cel setup of Fred and Barney learning to write music was created. This is a 3-cel setup, placed on a hand-painted production background and production overlay from The Flintstone Kids. This extremely rare one-of-a-kind studio setup was most likely done for press or studio publicity efforts; it features great images of Fred and Barney measuring 3" and 4". Minor handling. Very Good condition.
