    Description

The Flintstones Fred, Wilma, and Jean Vander Pyl Publicity Cel Setup (Hanna-Barbera, 1986). Jean Vander Pyl (1919 - 1999) was the longtime voice of Wilma Flintstone. This is a rare and unique hand-painted cel created by the Hanna-Barbera Ink and Paint Department for an article about Jean that ran in the Orange County Register newspaper. It's a great scene of Fred trying to sneak out of the house to go bowling, with both Wilma (on the cel) and Jean (in the color photo background) looking on with exasperated expressions. A letter from the newspaper addressed to H-B Art Director Iraj Paran is also included. Ms. Vander Pyl was also the voice of Pebbles Flintstone, Rosie the Robot, Maw Rug and many Hanna-Barbera characters. Great images of 5" and 7". Fred is in his Buffalo Lodge hat and has his bowling ball! Fun rare setup! Fine condition.
