Description
The Dot and the Line Presentation Cel (MGM Studios, 1965). Released on December 31, 1965, The Dot and the Line was directed by Chuck Jones and Maurice Noble, and produced by Jones for MGM. The ten-minute short was the winner of the Academy Award for Animated Short Film for 1965. This is an actual production background used in this film, in a 23" x 24" framed set-up with a recreated hand-painted cel of the line placed on the background for presentation purposes. A special Academy Award presentation matting showcases an image of Jones receiving his Oscar, as well as an image of the nomination certificate for the short.
