The Banana Splits in Hocus Pocus Publicity Cel and Studio Photo (Hanna-Barbera, 1972). The Banana Splits premiered on 7/7/68 in The Banana Splits Adventure Hour television show. These costumed live action characters were Bingo, Drooper, Fleegle, and Snorky. Here they are in a rare 12 field hand-painted studio publicity cel of the animated Banana Splits. They were animated for the first time in an ABC Saturday Superstar Movie Special called The Banana Splits in Hocus Pocus Park. It premiered on 11/25/72. It was filmed partially at the King's Amusement Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. The cel was created for press and publicity purposes, placed on a Hocus Pocus Park print background. Cels of these characters in their animated form are very rare. With this lot is a studio photo grab of the costumed characters getting ready to jump into their animated world. Minor handling wear on both items. Very Good overall condition.
