Super Chicken - Fred and Super Chicken Publicity/Scene Cel with Production Background (Jay Ward, 1967). "To the Super Coop, Fred!" Super Chicken and his faithful sidekick, the vegetarian lion Fred, arrive on their aerial vehicle, the Super Coop, in this stupendous hand-painted and hand-inked publicity/scene cel. The adventures of the feathered superhero appeared as part of George of the Jungle as 17 six-minute segments, premiering on September 9, 1967. The fabulous image of the characters riding the Super Coop measures an image size of 8.75" x 6.75" on the 12-field cel, presented on a production background of a building, rendered in gouache and conte crayon on 12-field board, numbered PS3-002-60 in the lower area. The lot is displayed on a 16" x 13" mat with an 11" x 8" opening. The cel shows light paint wear on Super Chicken's hat. Mat is sold as-is. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear.Auction Info
