Description
Rocky the Flying Squirrel Scene Cel Signed by Jay Ward (Jay Ward, 1988). Jay Ward's store The Dudley Do-Right Emporium was located on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and it sold hand-painted scene cels of all the Jay Ward cartoon characters. Since Jay Ward Studios production cels were painted in Mexico and destroyed after use, the only available cels were created for sale in his shop. This is a hand-inked, hand-painted Rocket J. Squirrel scene cel hand-signed by Jay Ward (1920 - 1989). Originally sold unsigned, Mr. Ward was known to sign them on request. The 11" x 12.5" cel bears a Jay Ward Productions seal and is hand-dated 1988 in the lower right. Condition is very Good.More information about Jay Ward Studios. See also: Ward Studios Artist.
