Description
Pocahontas Ratcliffe and Wiggins Presentation Cel and Master Production Background Setups Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1995). "Look at it, Wiggins, an entire New World chock-full of gold, just waiting for me." Says the villainous Governor Ratcliffe to his manservant, Wiggins, who replies, "And scores of adventures waiting for us, right, Percy? Do you think we'll meet some savages?" Presented is a superb pair of setups from Pocahontas. These wonderful setups both contain an original production background from the film paired with presentation character cels. These pieces were initially offered as Lot 79 in the Art of Pocahontas Auction held in NY on 2/24/96. The cels were hand-inked and hand-painted at the legendary Disney Ink and Paint Department in Burbank. Both backgrounds have been initialed "CM" in the borders under the matboard, indicating these production paintings have been approved by Cristy Maltese, background supervisor for Pocahontas. The artwork measures 12.5" x 17" and 12" x 21" matted to 43.5" x 16.75" with double matboard apertures of 20" x 10.5" and 16" x 10.5". This impressive piece is in Fine condition.Auction Info
