Description

Michael Jackson and Scooby Doo Presentation Cel/Pitch Art (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1990s). A rare and remarkable presentation cel featuring an animated Michael Jackson standing beside Scooby-Doo-an intriguing artifact linked to a proposed but never-produced collaboration between the King of Pop and Hanna-Barbera. Hand-painted on 12-field acetate, the cel showcases impressively large, nearly 9" tall images of both characters, perfectly centered for presentation. According to animation insiders, Hanna-Barbera co-founder Joe Barbera explored early concept sketches in the early 1990s for a crossover project that would have placed Jackson alongside classic H-B characters. Though no script, storyboard, or completed footage is known to exist, the idea appears to have reached preliminary development before stalling due to creative or licensing complications. While The New Scooby-Doo Movies famously featured real-world celebrities, Michael Jackson never officially appeared with Mystery Inc., making this presentation cel a rare glimpse into what might have been. A fascinating piece of animation history-and a crossover dream for collectors-this cel is presented in Very Good condition.
